Rarely have I been more disgusted by right wing politics than I was today. Labour for all their sins come out with proposals to combat misogyny that surely everyone can agree with and what do we get from the Tories? Two women no less? Racist, immigrant bashing, dog whistle shite.

What with all the stuff with my Mum I've had neither the time nor energy to keep up with the news and politics over the last few weeks then things start getting back to normal, I dip my toe back in and immediately think, 'What the fuck is this shit?'

One Afghan lad says he didn't understand consent and he's the problem according to the Tories, while we have salt of the earth white working class boys humiliating girls sharing 'deep fake' images and videos of them even at my brother's Church of England school. They've had to permanently exclude one of them, who is now on the sex offenders register. He was warned, as were his parents, multiple times before the school resorted to involving the police. And that only happened because he refused to apologise and the parents refused to accept he'd done anything wrong.

Maybe it's because I've always been a lover rather than a fighter. Maybe it's because my Mum didn't take shit from anyone and brought me up to respect everyone, never mind women, or maybe it was growing up as a kid in the aftermath of the sexual revolution...I don't know but it never occurred to me or the male friends I grew up with to treat the opposite sex any differently than we'd treat each other. Well except for the trying our best to have sex with them bit. Which in my experience was best achieved by being charming, funny and handsome.

I realise I'm sounding old. And I am, and not just me. A couple of old friends turned up to my mother's wake. I hadn't seen them in 20 years and didn't recognise them. One had a massive gut on him (pub landlord), the other had lost his hair but gained a BMW (but was still living on the estate we grew up in, in the council house his parents bought through right to buy).

Anyway as you can see I'm back here havering as the Scots would say. For better or worse.

I'm pretty wasted and even my compromised brain is asking:

A - Who is filming it.
B - Why the fake audio track.
C - Did she not notice that the dog grows considerably in size in the space of apparently a few minutes which defies every known law of physics and biology I'm aware of.
