I did wonder , when Starmer was spouting on and on about the AI magic solution to growth , if only we could grovel enough to get the $billions to build data centres all over ... and we'd GROW faster than our competitors, because they er hadn't heard of AI ...

Fucked my lower back but went to a gig anyway despite the ticket only being a tenner. Ibuprofen and booze saw me through. Got a taxi back with a driver who was originally from Pakistan who was probably one of the nicest and most interesting people I've spoken to in ages. He was such a pleasure to talk to we ended up missing a couple of turns and got a bit lost. I've had to look this stuff up since getting home because I'm afraid my ignorance was profound as he was telling me these things.
