Helping one lot of headchoppers against another,
but they do need the $$$$$ to fight Putin ...
A Saudi Arabian arms company has signed a deal to buy Ukrainian-made interceptor missiles, the Kyiv Independent has learned, with one source within Ukraine's defense industry saying that Riyadh and Kyiv are negotiating a separate "huge deal" for arms that could be finalized this week.

The couple who run the place spent years competitively racing with their huskies, won everything there was to win, it was their livelihood. Then along came Brexit and they were screwed. In one fell swoop it became financially and practically unviable to compete in Europe so now this is what they do. They own a whole patch of forest with various paths through it to hurtle around and yes it is as much fun as it looks. The main thing is my Dad really enjoyed it. He's been struggling since my Mum passed away, and seeing him with a big stupid grin on his face was wonderful, even if just for a couple of hours.
Well a bit longer than that in fact because as soon as we got back to town we went to the pub to watch Scotland beat France in the rugby, so a good day was had by all. Apart from the food. Rather than playing it safe in a small town Scottish restaurant and getting scampi and chips or the like I found myself semi-drunkenly intrigued by 'meatballs and noodles in tomato sauce'. When it arrived it was 5 massive meatballs made from sausage meat with horribly overcooked spaghetti swimming in unseasoned passata. Not a hint of garlic or basil or anything else that would offend the Scottish palate and its need for bland stodge. I wouldn't mind but it cost me £14.
Still, at least I got to spend the weekend mostly avoiding the news and got to drink in a pub nicknamed 'The smelly dog' because of the owner's flatulent old black lab called Harvey (after Harvey Keitel). This world can be a wonderful and terrible place.
