Good lord, it's warm this morning. 20C at half 7!

I went to bed last night still genuinely not knowing if the photo of Trump at that tiny desk was real or AI --

Connolly’s desk, however, was not a diplomatic trap.

Yesterday I woke at 7 after eight hours sleep, and did a lot of work outside putting firewood under cover and generally preparing for the winter , the result today being that I got up at midday !

One reminder from other recent G articles is that immigration politics loom large, and govt policies have tended towards bureaucratic cruelty when treating all 'forrins' . The former liberal Sweden is becoming unrecognisable .
