UK Covid live: Boris Johnson says no need to move to plan B in England as cases not rising beyond expectations (Politics Live, Guardian)
By that logic, if the "expectations" were to be upped to, say, 5,000 per day, then doing nothing when cases reach that level would be fine.

Why? I thought that we weren't meant to be allowing terrorism to interfere with our democracy etc, etc. Not contesting an election would appear to be doing exactly the opposite. Marc Almond was on TV today waxing lyrical about Kathy Kirby. Don't know how I came to see (some of) it. I think I was drifting in and out, as per usual.

Ages ago, I saw him in a concert on TV with kd lang. They were quite impressive together as I recall.
