It's hard to argue that they're incompetent when they're so efficient at siphoning off cash to their mates through Test & Trace and PPE procurement.

Just literally careless, not caring one way or the other about the rest of us.

@tinyclanger2

PorFavor reporting for duty!

This will be a brief appearance owing to technical issues beyond my control (hard to believe, I know) but I hope to make a resurgance this evening.

You mean this isn't the Foreign Legion? I've been misled if that's the case.

@AnatolyKasparov

Thanks. Hopefully it'll be sorted this afternoon. It's nothing really major but I need a new screen otherwise I can't function online.

TC2 --- SGO described what 'could' be the new revised Delta symptoms the last time I saw him.
The NHS has been very remiss on updating to those for bloody weeks now .
Wonder why ?

Had a polite reminder from US Customs & Border Protection on Friday--

" ATTENTION! The travel authorization submitted on Aug 29, 2019 via ESTA will expire within the next 30 day "

The Engerlish don't like it up 'em ?

Obviously a new "regulator" is needed then.

Or so many Tories will conclude anyway.

Well, whatever ailed me seems to be firmly on the wane apart from a mild lingering headache which seems to have been temporarily cured by wine. Despite ticking all the Delta boxes I'm loathe to say that's what it was because some of the stories I'm hearing are way worse.

My landlord was round yesterday and his daughter and son in law (both double vaccinated) caught it at the Latitude festival and it's really messed them up, him in particular. Apparently while laid up in bed his legs began spasming until his knee locked with his leg bent at about 90 degrees. It was so agonisingly painful he had to be taken to hospital, which was obviously complicated by the fact he had Covid.

I just felt a bit shit. It was like a weird week long mix of hay fever, food poisoning and the weariness and achiness of flu, but each symptom was so mild I kept writing it off and making some excuse for it. Who knows, maybe I did coincidentally have all of those things all at the same time. Although one thing can't be explained away, the severity of my hangover last friday. After a mere single bottle of wine I woke up the next day and felt like I'd been poisoned. I could barely get out of bed and had sweats and chills for a good few hours. I mean I'm used to bad hangovers but that one was taking the piss given how relatively little I'd drunk. I blamed the wine and some out of date humus.
