Re: Tuesday 4th February 2025
Morning !
This is the online headline ----
Keir Starmer refuses to criticise Trump over EU trade war
The prime minister’s charm offensive in Brussels was overshadowed by trade tensions as the US president threatens 10% tariffs on European exports
https://archive.ph/DuCv9
On his past performance any Stab In The Back would be no surprise .
Anyway a bit of arbitrage may be in order, re-exporting US goodies to the EU !
Anything for 'Growth'

My English friend in town sees a great similarity between DJT and her partner who had a frontal lobe stroke . They only saw the scan of that when he had a massive stroke eight months after he had started to behave very erratically .

Good morning.
At some point - hopefully - Reform voters will get very, very angry and chase Farage into the sea.

Re: Tuesday 4th February 2025
Well given how quickly Trump backed down over tariffs on Canada and Mexico (and that *is* what has happened, don't believe any spin otherwise) maybe the EU (and indeed Starmer) don't have so much to worry about there.

Yesterday's --
" Then there’s the US to worry about. How to cope with the orange manchild. Too much independence of thought and you might feel the full weight of trade tariffs. Time to bury your self-worth and go into full-fawning mode. Few people had ever come unstuck by telling Donald Trump he was an undiscovered genius. No one said that being prime minister was going to be easy. Or dignified.
It was a tough act to pull off, but Starmer just about managed it in a very brisk press conference with the Nato secretary general, Mark Rutte, on Monday afternoon. Just the barest minimum. Opening statements that were so dull they died on the lips – precious little sign of Starmer’s delivery being improved by a voice coach here – and then three questions from the broadcasters. Then out of there. "

Youtube thumbnails are becoming more exaggerated, I gather apps exist to do that to entice visitors, anyway a pain !
