I'm following the other World Cup, women's T20 cricket, which is happening in the UK and therefore watchable at sensible hours, though not on free-to-air. Predictably India thrashed Pakistan yesterday, proper party atmosphere at Edgebaston. In the opening game England, batting first, made the highest total in the history of the competition to thrash Sri Lanka.
For sky's information, Scotland are taking part for the first time and beat Ireland in their first game.
Not that I'd be watching the football even if it wasn't on in the middle of the night.

So a sizeable proportion of Aussie kids get round their ban ?
( Well, youth loves a challenge
)
And Starmer is not following this advice --
"Banning" and "compelling" the Tech Bros to not harm children,
ridiculous !
(What would Mad Donald say, and then DO ... ? )

Today, the prime minister could have announced a decisive plan for change that banned personalised algorithms for teens across the board, and compelled tech companies to change their business models and tackle product safety at source. Instead, he has left algorithmic harm wide open to young people, with a ban that leaves more questions than answers.
