I'm inclined to think that ministers have an incentive to want him to stay, so he can take the fall for the May elections.

-4 overnight and a couple of inches more snow, just as we'd got rid of the last lot. Still -3 and the road looks terrible, I usually buy a dead tree Guardian on Saturday but unless it improves dramatically I'm staying here, don't need anything else fortunately.
