Re: Friday 24th June 2016
Good morfternoon.
I'll repeat this post (and add a bit) which I wrote at the fag-end of yesterday's thread:
I don't blame Jeremy Corbyn for this mess. That blame I reserve for David Cameron. But I can't say that Jeremy Corbyn impressed me. Yes, he did articulate that the EU isn't perfect and I agreed with him on that - but he made too little (enthusiasm-wise) of the good parts.
He presented the EU as a curate's egg when he should have presented it as a Fabergé egg still in the process of the making. Missing a few jewels, maybe, but still a thing of beauty and worth.

Nigel Farage says no we won't be able to spend £350m to the NHS... That was a mistake for Vote Leave to say that, he says.

Actually, the leftish BBC enclave that is 6 Music does sound very subdued in general.

An orchestrated move against Jeremy Corbyn appears to be underway as Labour’s shadow cabinet prepares to convene this morning. There are rumours of some of his MPs preparing to sign a motion of no confidence in him and some are calling for him to resign - anonymously at this stage.

Just learned that my boss (54, paper millionaire, respected hitherto) voted Leave because "he didn't want to support an undemocratic organisation".
So instead you voted for this:
Nigel Farage:
"We've done it without a bullet being fired".

God the parallels with incipient fascism are terrifying.
