Surprise, not !
Now you have the Wail uncritically supporting the RU line --
Anyway, the talk of 'peacekeepers' is quite meaningless , as Scholz said , without defining what the Hell you mean by it !

In 1943 the Americans sought help wherever they could ! But there's no record of anyone pretending the Mafia was other than ..the Mafia .
"" Italian Americans were very helpful in the planning and execution of the invasion of Sicily. The Mafia was involved in assisting the U.S. war efforts. Luciano's associates found numerous Sicilians to help the Naval Intelligence draw maps of the harbors of Sicily and dig up old snapshots of the coastline. ""
Now we have Reeves welcoming the assistance of the Great Vampire Squid and its brothers into the heart of government --
On a closely related subject we've had a significant reaction here to the increasing use of McKinsey & Co to replace the civil service , for example in elaborating Vaccination programs in January 2021, and previously their assistance given to Macron in the 2017 Presidential election ...

Trump burbled out something about Zelensky having a 4% approval rating yesterday - the latest actual poll has it still over 50%.

Yes, it's all the fault of the left and certainly not the centrists who keep pandering to the right. Why won't those pesky leftists work with the people trying to remove their rights?
Re: Wednesday 19th February 2025
Indeed ! I was just going to comment that for once (?) WATO consisted of one long fact-check on Trump's 4% and WHO started the bloody war .AnatolyKasparov wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2025 1:39 pm Trump burbled out something about Zelensky having a 4% approval rating yesterday - the latest actual poll has it still over 50%.

Oh and BoJo's contortions over trying to be both pro-Trump and *the* Churchillian defender of Ukraine are, after recent events, reaching manic levels.

Eisenhower's MIC can't be too pleased with the Donald ?
( I wonder how many of them donated to him ?? )
When Mr Notnow Sonny is not around I'm probably the oldest here , so I might have a closer relationship to WW2 than many others ?
Wotevs, I'm glad that the interwar Rearmament Programme gave my father a ship to sail in and guns to repel the scores of German bombers based in Norway on the way to Murmansk !

@frog
My dad was in North Africa and Italy then the army of occupation in Austria(where I was born) and Germany after the war. He was an armourer so was just behind the front line without actually fighting. I can just imagine what he would have thought of Trump; although he voted Tory at the end he would not have approved. Badenoch take note!

That's the place to hit them , except ... it's rather difficult for Keir-Admirers should he be still fancying himself as a Trump-Whisperer ...
