"@rafaelbehr on @BBCWestminHour says Tories planning to explain likely defeat in Rochester by blaming Labour. Well there's a surprise!
Well of course it'll be Miliband's fault rather than Cameron's. It stands to reason doesn't it? If Miliband was any good, then he'd have lost R&S to Labour instead of to a party that has had - and continues to have - absolutely no serious scrtuiny in the meeja. Why would they be interested in doing that? It would simply bring UKIP back down to earth as their fruitcake policies were exposed and how I ask you would restoration of the Labour vs Tory 12015 election sell them papers or get them viewers?
Nah, far better to interfere in the political process by stating that Labour are the one's in meltdown, ignoring Cameron's problems with the Tories - and trust me, they're going to be very, very major indeed as of Friday morning, regardless of the likely and anticipated rescue job by the likes of Wintour and Watt - and failing to pull up UKIP in any way, preferring to buy into the "we're the happy People's Army" bullshit.
I'm pissed off to the back teeth with the sort of treatment that the meeja now dish out to the various parties and I'm very tempted to get back onto Twitter and other outlets to pull the fuckers up about it.
Beside that, I'd liek to echo what Ephe said earlier about the experts and analysts on this forum. When I see a meeja story, I come here first to establish that it's not bullshit. That's how useful this place is. I can't trust most of the meeja but this place is different, and I think it's about time we started advertising the place so any ideas are gratefully received. If any of you have an intro into people with influence (for example, I'll probably be meeting MP Liz McInnes shortly) then let them know of FTN and the sterling work it does.
Let's face it, if a piece of shit like Guido "Paul stains the world of politics" Fawkes right wing troll fest can become a 'goto' political website, then anything is, literally, possible...
