There's a lot of right-wing media types tweeting that.
When I saw we were off to a slow start this morning, I wondered if we were all stunned into silence by the sheer ineptitude of May and the tory campaign. Beyond our wildest dreams.

Good morfternoon.
This, from the writer and comedian Armando Iannucci, is quite fun.

So far, the only person Theresa May has debated on TV is her husband.

I notice that May did the old "I debate Jeremy Corbyn every week in the Commons" line - no, he asked questions - you just sneered at him. That's not a debate.

The attempts by the Currant Bun and Torygraph to pretend Jez bombed in last night's debate are hilarious even by their normally debased standards.

Apparently Norman Smith has argued (on Victoria Live) that the best performers were Caroline Lucas and, obviously, Amber Rudd.AnatolyKasparov wrote:The attempts by the Currant Bun and Torygraph to pretend Jez bombed in last night's debate are hilarious even by their normally debased standards.

Guisborough, it's just down the road, from M'bro and from us. Blenkinsop was the MP and has stood down so the tories fancy it. Unlike Hartlepool, I have no prediction to offer.PorFavor wrote:Theresa May in Middlesbrough (Sky TV News).

Re: Thursday 1st June 2017
Went leafleting and canvassing yesterday in what should be a fairly safe seat (held with 5000 majority last time, only voted tory once ever) but which local party are twitchy about. (Little point in doing much election work at home - this was in my 'work' seat). Good feedback on the whole - people were either 'I never vote' or 'of course I'm voting labour'. One woman very reticent to talk about it until we realised that I used to teach her son and then we were fine. There is an 'I'm labour but I'm not voting for Corbyn' feeling in the constituency but it is dwindling a little - earlier more people were saying it, now more of those are grudgingly and a bit unhappily saying they'll vote labour anyway.
