Theresa May’s Brexit red lines were reckless. Now she has to cross them
This week’s farcical talks exposed the flaws in her government’s approach. She is hostage to the DUP and has made promises she cannot sensibly keep

NHS, housing, food.In London, where housing demand is at its most acute, some building skills are dominated by EU workers, with more than 70% of carpenters, 63% of demolition and groundworks workers, 61% of general labourers, 54% of plasterers, painters and decorators, 44% of bricklayers and nearly 40% of roofers hailing from other EU countries.
It's all a bit silly really isn't it.

“The bottom line is that the May government is facing an impossible task,” said Sarvamaa, adding that promises made to British voters during the referendum campaign and before June’s snap election could not be kept. The government was in “an ever-worsening, deteriorating cycle,” he said. “I love Britain and I hate to see what is going on.

Arlene Foster should come before the House of Commons. How about midday every Wednesday to answer questions about her government's policies?

A - Corbyn & Starmer: end FoM
B - McDonnell: leave SM
C - Watson: stay in SM & CU
D - Starmer: stay in SM & CU
E - Chapman: leave SM
F - Ashworth : Leave SM
G - Abbott: keep FofM
H - Gardiner: leave the CU
I suppose you could take the manifesto as definitive but that was obscure.
It is quite clever really. Labour sends out the signal from across the spectrum so that there is bound to be a Labour opinion for you.

Of course.
Not to say there hasn't been any flip flopping in Labour, but your misrepresentation just firms up my desire to support what they are doing.

Re: Tuesday 5th December 2017
Honestly what's the point in being active in any way in politics in this country if a tiny band of sectarian bigots can dictate the political and economic future of this entire benighted land with a single phone call? I used to be a Lib Dem (to my eternal shame) and look what they did, they tried to do it all properly and by the book and at least put forth a pretence of consensus and what did they get? Absolutely fuck all. The Tories shafted them on even their lilly livered attempt at voting reform and then they went into an electoral death spiral. Whereas this bunch of sub-hominid DUP knuckle draggers, who've already accepted a billion pound bung, currently have the support of a significant part of the English electorate simply for being arrogant intransigent bastards. It doesn't matter what their other lunatic beliefs may be, just that they stopped a perceived 'soft brexit' in its tracks. And our waste of space of a Prime Minister is so weak she allowed it to happen.
