Malcolm Turnbull's replacement is some species of evangelical Christian - which puts the fear of God in me. If you see what I mean.

I wonder how well it will go down with the Oz electorate tbh, in some respects they aren't terribly progressive but have never been big on the God stuff.PorFavor wrote:AnatolyKasparov wrote:Forced out by Peter Dutton, who then.......lost the resulting vote. All this talk of a No Deal Brexit.
The biggest problem with a Deal seems to be the Irish Border, but surely No Deal would make the same problems immeasurably worse.

Though maybe all the current talk of one is actually making it less likely, as it sinks in just how bad it might be?PaulfromYorkshire wrote:All this talk of a No Deal Brexit.

We can hope, anyway.......

I keep musing over what Jeremy Corbyn would do\say during a repeat Referendum campaign. Or what he would do\say in the event of the Government deciding to call off this whole exiting the EU thing.

The really interesting thing would be what the commentariat would say, you know the ones who berate him for not opposing.PorFavor wrote:I keep musing over what Jeremy Corbyn would do\say ........... in the event of the Government deciding to call off this whole exiting the EU thing.

Getting bored of this now tbh, it is clear he was referring to just a handful of people there who were giving him grief.HindleA wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... 013-speech
Having said that, it is true that genuinely AS people have widely taken to saying "Zionists" when they actually mean "Jews".
Which is why I now try to avoid the Z-word if I can (having used it quite often at one time)

Re: Friday, 24th August 2018
To me that reads like something from the Nineteenth Century, let alone the last one. Here rentals are for longer, and people have "rights" unknown to the English. For example you just cannot evict people from the first of november to the thirty first of march, and then there are procedures/aids for keeping people in place .HindleA wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/ ... ionsNearly half of tenants who make complaint face 'revenge eviction'
