We so enjoy the unintended consequences of third-generation nazi Elon :-)

Some Trumpology --
Tony Schwartz, the co-author of The Art of the Deal, who actually wrote the text based on hundreds of hours of conversations with Trump between 1985 and 1987, recalled how Trump’s world view was built on the same zero-sum approach he took to business. Either you win or you lose, you dominate or you submit. As he pondered becoming president of the United States, Trump imagined its behaviour as an extension of his own; he saw generosity towards trading partners as weakness and their success with American consumers as a personal affront to his business instincts to win at all costs.

“Remarkably, Trump has spent his life feeling like a victim,” Schwartz said. “What he means is any time he doesn’t totally dominate, he is being ripped off. The world is paying the price of his childhood.”

To back up this claim, Schwartz pointed to a comment Trump made to another biographer, Michael D’Antonio, in 2014. “When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different,” Trump said.

Life has been a constant battle to dominate the playground.

Confession -- after watching Second Lady's little vid about her then forthcoming cultural sightseeing trip to the soon-to-be-annexed Greenland I felt sorry for her , because she was so ill at ease it looked exactly like a hostage video !

" Despite her own ambitions, Usha left her corporate law job when JD got a shot at DC. “She actually quit her job the day that Donald Trump asked me to become the VP nominee because she wants to be on the road with me,” JD Vance said in an interview last August. “That means we got to win, right? She’s gonna be mad at me if she quit her job and we don’t win.”

They won all right, but ...
" cont'd !

Is Usha Vance starting to feel a little sorry for herself?

Trump's tariff speech is completely incoherent. 25% tariffs on all car imports. No-one is going to be able to buy a car in the US.

Just the sight of this raised a smile, well one lives in hope ?

A much-needed smile as a much-younger English cousin has just spent a week in ICU, then the decision was made and he went into 'managed decline' which ended this afternoon with his bro and my sister there .

I'm afraid Crace was no help as his reporting on aching dullness and posturing was ...er ....accurate !
