It was pointed out yesterday that the DfE cancelled Nicky Morgan's character scheme at the back end of 2017.HindleA wrote:Education Secretary sets out five foundations to build character

Be aware as well that when you catch the eye of other people whilst you are singing along silently (or at least you think it's silently, you with your headphones in. YES YOU) that can also be quite interesting.HindleA wrote:Note to self remember when shouting lyrics as you walk home other people may hear you, especially "Stay Beautiful"by MSP.

Re: Friday 8th February 2019
There seems to be quite a debate about Modern Monetary Theory at the moment.
I kind of get the basics of it all, but have no way of assessing for myself the validity of the arguments being made.
Presumably, everyone is right and everyone is wrong to some extent. It seems unlikely to me that one simple model will account for the complexity of a global economy with billions of actors.

I've seen a few articles supposedly explaining the difference between MMT and Neo-Keynesian economics but so far nobody's managed to explain it in a way I can understand.
My conclusion so far is that current govt thinking is so far away from either that, were one or the other adopted, it would be a long time before we needed to worry about which was correct and much good would be done in the meantime.

This sort of thing happens far too often, at a minimum there should be a new organisation put in charge of audience selection - Mentorn have proved to be both biased and incompetent.
