I think the UK is being incredibly naive about it's ability to play both sides, or be some sort of 'bridge' to Trump (like Meloni claims). Brexit was an extraordinary act of folly, and it's a total lack of political courage for Starmer to not come out and say that in the midst of such completely changed geopolitical conditions. Trump wants to split apart the EU and then shove chlorinated chicken and God knows what else down everyone's throats … "
