Morning all.

And thanks for the QT review last night Sky. Didn't sound like a pleasant experience.

Well fuck.

My sister lives in Tel Aviv and has now packed a bag, in case she had to run to a shelter (fortunately only a minute away).

Morning !

The Vampire was up late after a topping-up yesterday, feeling better :-)

I was thinking earlier --- WHY hasn't Iran already made some nuclear devices , after all the technology is now very old ? Miniaturised versions were used in the Sixties, one example being the W48 shell for use in 155mm artillery .

From Times article --
But western intelligence agencies, including US ones, had assessed that Iran was not currently building a bomb, although it possessed the know-how. Iran had always insisted that its nuclear programme was meant for peaceful purposes, but that it could build a bomb if its sites were attacked.

One expert said that the Israeli strikes could bring that moment closer. “It’s far more likely now that Iran will withdraw from the non-proliferation treaty and make the decision to build nuclear weapons,” said Kelesy Davenport, the director for Nonproliferation Policy at the Arms Control Association.

• How might Iran retaliate against Israel?

“Israel cannot destroy the knowledge Iran has gained about nuclear development. "

Good morning.

from sky's QT review
Jesus fucking Christ. Remind me never to go to Fleetwood and the BBC should be utterly ashamed of themselves. An hour dominated by questions about Reform and immigration with the most gammon on show since the Brexit debates.
That is not an exaggeration, it was appalling and I'm not sure how sky managed to sit through it, I turned it off after a couple of minutes. Put it on again later thinking it couldn't all be that bad but it was.

Thanks anyway sky.

If I hadn't had wine there's no chance I'd have been able to sit through it.

Depressingly the biggest backlash I've seen today hasn't been about the BBC purposely facilitating right wing extremism, it's been about Darren Jones using misleading immigration statistics.

It's a shame AK isn't around to tell us that this is actually a bad thing.

In all seriousness though, hope AK is doing well.
