Don't listen through headphones, or in 'polite' company.

My brother's got a slipped disk, as a result he can't drive long distances so last time we headed North we did so by train. On the way back down he got up to go for a pee and had a back spasm resulting in him effing and blinding extremely loudly much to my amusement. Unfortunately the bloke across the table from us who had his young daughter with him wasn't amused at all so I also got to enjoy witnessing my brother having to make a grovelling apology. This happened on the 'quiet coach' of a packed train so it's quite possible more people heard it than listen to Radio Derby. I wasn't entirely without sympathy and got him some fruit pastilles to cheer him up when we had to change trains at York but they didn't seem to help much.

I've just been dipping my toe into the news for the last few days because I've got enough on my plate as it is but fucking hell that Trump birthday military parade is funny. I wondered if it was being selectively edited to make it look hilariously shit but no it really was that bad despite having a robot dog*.

My sister is going to the public shelter for the 4th time today.

Where is she?

Tel-Aviv.

Fortunately the shelter is literally 1min walk from her apartment. And people being their dogs.

It's crazy what's happened to that part of the world. I worked in Tel Aviv for the Summer as a croupier in an illegal casino in the early Nineties. It was on the top floor of a hotel and occasionally you'd have the police come in and be given a few free chips so they were cool. Back then saying you'd worked in Tel Aviv, or even Israel gave you left wing cred. That was under Yitzhak Rabin. All was well.

Now we have a bloodthirsty nutcase that wants to set the world on fire to keep himself immune from prosecution and he and those around him couldn't give a shit about the likes of your sister.

I wish her well, and all of you worrying about her.
