You've got to love Phillipson, out here commemorating the defeat of facism, while carrying it out herself. I hope her grandfather is rolling in his grave.

I see Starmer's present of the ethanol industry to DJT has not gone completely unnoticed in the papers ....

The utter cheek of a current Labour Minister to (a) attend Pride and (b) to do it while wearing this t-shirt. And especially while staying completely silent as her government remove rights from those very dolls.

I hate to continue to bore you all with my problems but for fuck's sake...
So when you 'migrate' to Universal Credit your housing benefit from the council is supposed to carry on for a fortnight before ending then being taken up by UC.
I was due my final housing benefit payment from the council last Friday. Did it arrive? Take a wild guess. Not only did it not arrive I received a letter saying they've overpaid me so I owe them £65 for some inexplicable reason. Which is bollocks.
Labour promised 'enhanced support' for everyone going through this this process. I'd love to have had even the most basic of basic support, in fact any at all. Mostly I'm relying on the DWP staff giving advice on Reddit.
Anyway this latest fuck up is a council one so at least I'll be able to walk 5 minutes to the council 'drop in' centre up the road tomorrow and do the whole, "I know it's not your fault but could you please sort this shit out' thing.

They're all the same. Give them a ministerial job and watch them shed any recalcitrant thoughts.
I've watched the likes of Nandy and Bryant on QT for a decade, always quick to offer their opinion...until now. When it could effect their job and future earnings.
This is the problem. We have a Labour government under Starmer that seems to think it can just follow the old rules. That it could just step into the hole the Tories left and carry on as before. A washed out red version of the old boys or girls network.
What happened to being good?
