So much at the G that I really had to search for that Hinsliff link, my first post --

Basically it's this --
Given Wez's large amounts of pressies from the Private Health industry, I want to know how much privatisation is in his plans, as the above are the sort of organisational changes that a truly public NHS would need .

This week, Streeting finally gave the green light for axing about 18,000 backroom NHS jobs, in a reorganisation that is ultimately supposed to save £1bn a year to be spent on frontline care, but will cost at least that to implement upfront.
More detail --For Streeting has embarked on a high-stakes and surprisingly under-discussed reform of the NHS that, if it works, could become the model for rebuilding a crumbling public realm without intolerably high taxes;
------------------------------------------------------slash bureaucrats, who aren’t popular, and put the money into frontline care, which is. Merging NHS England back into the Department of Health and Social Care and cutting regional commissioning boards will cut headcount, but will also lead to a devolution of power, with good hospital trusts in theory freed from central control. It has risks but it is a model likely to be echoed across government, with other cabinet ministers exploring the use of devolution, digital tools and AI to deliver services differently – which will mean some painful decisions about the human jobs displaced.
Given Wez's large amounts of pressies from the Private Health industry, I want to know how much privatisation is in his plans, as the above are the sort of organisational changes that a truly public NHS would need .

Small niggle on this -- G Business Live : 2h ago 12.55 CET
In my misspent youth the cost of borrowing one year CHF would be say 1%, DEM 2%, GBP 3%, and the ITL a magnificent 20%
Funds were still raised !
You don't need to watch Richard Murphy's daily youtube chat to know that the UK govt has No Problem "raising funds", it's just a question of the PRICE !10-year and 20-year gilt yields are on the rise again, as investors try to determine how confident they are about the Labour government’s ability to raise enough funds to offer some fiscal certainty and stability long-term.
The 20-year gilt yield is at 5.233%, up 0.125 percentage points

The FT's article is confirmation that at least one Streeting Ally is as possessed by hatred for the Left as is Morgan McSweeney....refitman wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 1:46 pm When was the last time there was a 'Trot' in the Labour party?
which also strengthens the (ideological) probability that the Streeting Reforms of more devolved decision-making is to open the door to more privatisation.
EDIT PS plus of course the venal possibility that there will just be much personal Loot to be had .
