It's great that the person we have in charge of Health actively hates anyone that actually needs care and help.

Early neglect costs billions --
Given the established adverse outcomes and costs of unsupported ADHD, there is an urgent need to address early determinants of adverse outcomes and reduce waiting times in cost-effective, evidence-supported ways. ADHD NHS waiting times will continue to escalate, so cannot be ignored. We recommend a holistic, stepped, joined-up, generalist approach, with adequately-resourced primary care and secondary health care, local authorities and the voluntary/community sector to enable both initial needs-led holistic support and the fast-tracking of those with severe ADHD or whose functioning does not improve with first-line non-pharmacological intervention (13) to high-quality clinical diagnostic assessment and medication.

My Mum died last Saturday afternoon peacefully with my Dad, brother and I in attendance. She always had a dark sense of humour and kept it up until the end when she pretended to die at least 10 times over the course of an hour before the death rattle occurred. My Dad's understandably distraught but when I asked my brother if it was wrong that I felt a weight had been lifted he completely understood. It's been a long shitty road (often quite literally), watching a bright, funny woman being reduced to a thing.

My Dad wants me to speak at the funeral next week. Two things. First like many I have a morbid phobia of speaking in front of people. Second I'm angry. What did my Mum do to deserve her fate? What did she do to be cast aside by our supposed National Health Service?

The undertaker put us in contact with a humanist celebrant for the funeral. I ignored her calls for a whole day because I didn't recognise her number and presumed she was a scammer.

In the meantime I'd picked up some Norovirus, probably from hanging around a nursing home for ages and spent two days trying not to soil myself.

Happy days.
