Looking more likely for a Tory majority.
John Humphreys sounds delighted. Not sure switching on Radio 4 was a good idea.

Was it the 'scared of the SNP in coalition ' or 'he's too wierd and left wing' that caused this in England?

Perhaps Osborne is quite the strategist after all and Cameron's view of politics can earn a First at Oxford. I find it somewhat troubling, under-handed plots and nasty schemes are not a right and proper way to govern a country.
I would close my eyes if I couldn't dream.

Fear of the SNP. And for all those who think think this proves Ed should have talked to Sturgeon, that wouldn't have changed this outcome, probably intensified it.StephenDolan wrote:Was it the 'scared of the SNP in coalition ' or 'he's too wierd and left wing' that caused this in England?

Not from people I met, as the polls were closing, who told me they'd voted Con because the economy's doing so well and wages are increasing. They looked shocked when I told them what's really going on. Just wish I'd seen them before they'd voted – not that a bare handful would have made a difference in this constituency...StephenDolan wrote:Was it the 'scared of the SNP in coalition ' or 'he's too wierd and left wing' that caused this in England?

& of course, no Levenson.
The media will get even worse. Murdoch's happy, Scottish Labour wiped out, Tories back in.
Harder for Labour in the future. Worst case scenario.

The annoying thing is that we weren't outplayed by Cameron, who has been dire. This election was won, again, by Murdoch and Dacre.yahyah wrote:pk1 wrote:Fuck ! EVEL will now be on the table !

Cuts worse than we've had this far; EVEL; Individual voter registration in full swing; boundary changes ?; EU referendum; loss of access to justice for the vast majority of us; no Leveson; Murdoch; Crosby and so much more.

They might be feeling delighted now but 5 years is a long time to govern when your promises can't be met.

Has Labour lost any shadow Cabinet MPs apart from the ones that were in Scottish seats ?

The greenest government ever.
Unfortunately these don't matter. What does matter is Scottish MPs being in government. Perish the thought.
