Drones have redrawn the map of war in Ukraine. Relentless surveillance from the sky has pushed the battlefield 20km beyond the front, in both directions. https://ig.ft.com/ukraine-kill-zone/
April is well within the kill zone , which is expanding all the time ...

Not sure about tonight’s QT. It's advertised as being on at 10.40 on all platforms because of the by-election maybe? That's too late for a review.
If it's a mistake and it's on at 9 online I'll do the usual but if not a drunken running commentary is the best you're going to get I'm afraid!

FFS. No Reform for the first time in weeks but the first question is about immigration and integration.
Esther Krakue from the Daily Express claims multiculturalism is an impossibility and uses France as a cautionary example claiming its 'racial ghettoes' are a modern problem which is laughable for anyone with even a passing knowledge of the history of France, and especially Paris. So I've immediately awarded her the 'fucking idiot' hat for the rest of the evening.
Rest of the panel all give good decent answers, Lisa Nandy being the stand out and she gets a lot of deserved applause.

Re: Thursday 26th February 2026
Are the increases in hospitality business rates too high? Questioner (independent pub owner) has a 41% increase in April.
Tom Kerridge says his have risen by 115% across his pubs and restaurants.
Lisa Nandy says she's taking the points she's hearing on board and maybe a rethink is in order, which prompts 'fucking idiot' Esther to go on a stream of consciousness rant which Nandy swats aside with effortless disdain.
Alicia Kearns for the Tories makes some good points about hospitality cutting back on employing young people. She's quietly having a decent night. Probably the most reasonable Tory I've seen on QT for a long while.

Re: Thursday 26th February 2026
Is the monarchy fit for purpose?
Jess Brown-Fuller (Lib Dem) as a new MP was shocked to find out that elected MPs are not allowed to scrutinise the royal family in the house of commons and was told by the speaker that any references to them have to be 'rare and respectful'.
That's as much as you're going to get, I'm pleasantly sozzled and stoned and I'm pleased to say after an initial smattering of applause at the start about immigration the fucking idiot Express lady spent the rest of the evening chewing on tumbleweed, presumably because she sounded completely unhinged. Whereas if I was ever in a street fight and needed someone to back me up it would be Lisa Nandy. Don't get me wrong, she's as guilty as the rest of them when it comes to defending the indefensible, but stick her in front of an audience with her back against the wall and she'll come out fighting, or as was more the case tonight, admitting they've made mistakes and are prepared to listen. Is it possible that now McSweeney has gone there's been a genuine change? Or was Lisa freewheeling? She certainly sounded much more like her old self.
