Got the keys today.

Asked the landlord why he hadn't done any checks on me (no credit check, didn't contact my old landlord) because it seemed a bit strange.

Turns out he worked for the Sisters of Mercy and The Mission back in the day doing their merchandise, recognised a kindred old goth based on the t-shirts I'd been wearing, and decided on that basis alone that I was cool.

My old goth t-shirts have got me compliments and even drinks before, but never a flat.
