Morning !
Talking of analogue politicians in a digital age ...
Ben Delo is disingenuous. Reform, 8mps, now have 5 X more money than the Tories & 6 times more than Labour. That is what he calls fair!Of course he's not seeking any personal gain. Odd that almost all Reforms funding comes from billionaires! They are not the elite they are in the stratosphere!

Re: Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September 2026
I mean it really is a mystery why crypto billionaires with far right leanings are investing in a 'political party' run by an avaricious shyster who's promised to do absolutely everything they want.
To be fair to Burnham would it have been even possible to get legislation through quickly enough to stop these donations? I'm asking because I don't know. From what we've been told it was the affiliated unions warning against donation caps that caused the rethink, but after this I can't see it being long in coming.
There's that old saying 'money can't buy you love', and in Reform's case they could spend their millions having Farage surgically transformed into a Dr Moreau style lion man with a red, white and blue mane and the majority of the country would still think he was a cunt. Their problem isn't a lack of money, it's that most people can see them for who they are, and with a grown up electoral system they'd be nowhere near threatening to run this country.

On a happier note I'm off to Flamborough Head next week for a cheapo caravan park jaunt (£75 for 4 nights, isn't off season wonderful?). I've never been but have heard good things if you're into wandering cliffs and investigating coves and grottoes, plus at this time of year there should be some interesting migratory bird stuff going on. Mostly leaving the country which will keep the racist magpies happy. Honestly magpies are absolute dicks.
It will mean visiting Bridlington for the first time since I was 9. All I remember is buying a 'Star Wars soundtrack' tape from some street market, being so excited to listen to it, then so disappointed when it turned out it was all disco versions. 9 year old me was no fun.
Expect photos upon my return whether you want them or not.

I'm unclear about what happened to this anti-billionaire legislation initiated by SKS in March, see thread !!!

Election authority projects opposition win by a single seat
The Swedish election authority has now put out its own projection, which provisionally confirms a one-seat difference between the blocs.
They have the left-leaning opposition with 175 seats in the new parliament to the incumbents’ 174.
