Nvidia's lost $500bn from it's market cap, with the release of this Chinese AI. I do hope that Labour are paying the slightest bit of attention to what's going on and are revising their plans to give them all our data.

The spectacle of so many politicians bandwagon-jumping to push up the price of snake-oil has been most gratifying ! Not to mention those 'wise' investors RR is so eager to entice to the UK :-)
AI chipmaker Nvidia had plunged 16% midway through trading on Monday while rival Broadcom had slumped 17.8%.

Other tech firms also sank, with Microsoft down 3.7% and Google's owner Alphabet down over 3%.

In Europe, Dutch chip equipment maker ASML saw its share price tumble by more than 7% while shares in Siemens Energy, which makes hardware related to AI, plunged by a fifth.

"This idea of a low-cost Chinese version hasn't necessarily been forefront, so it's taken the market a little bit by surprise," said Fiona Cincotta, senior market analyst at City Index.
To put it very mildly !

Bit more about that, and Tesla versus the world , sales looking very sick indeed .... a good overview on a channel I hadn't watched before --

AI at a twentieth the price, and cars at less than half, interesting buys when the world's consumers are feeling the pinch .

Meanwhile in UK, Company investing £80mn in a special new paintshop for customised jobs on the cars of the super-rich ...
