In the Bad Old Days in the money markets serious lunchtime boozing was the norm , no idea if it still persists there as I left thirty odd years ago.

On Thursday the nurse told me of French Senators filmed for TV snoozing in the Chamber, so almost certainly they are as bad as the brits :-)
The report added: “The availability of alcohol was seen to encourage unhealthy behaviour in general, from affecting colleagues’ sleep and stress levels to potentially normalising high-risk drinking, with one MP referring to colleagues having had their stomachs pumped in hospital and going back into Westminster the following day.

So it is possible to tell That Lobby to FO a "short" --

Another short one , a great contradictory oerformance by Trump's UN Ambassador --

Too thick to realise that he's just said he should be in prison ...

Went outside to do a very little hacking of small clumps of thick and deeply - rooted grass with a mattock.

Gave up further work after a successful few minutes, breathless ...
well it is 31 in the shade, AGAIN 🙂

I'm tidying up some ramshackle constructions close to the cottage to take this winter's supply of firewood . Super wood but not as seasoned as it should be so now the first 40m2 batch of newly split logs is sunning on the terrace .

I wasn't aware of this --
Poland’s example was especially compelling. When its government sought greater control over the judiciary, Polish judges put on their robes and marched through Warsaw. Judges from across Europe joined them in what became the March of 1,000 Robes.

Then they left their courthouses and traveled through towns and villages, explaining what an independent judiciary means to a farmer, shopkeeper, parent or business owner. They talked about law not as an abstraction, but as protection against arbitrary power.

Extremely important case here --

So an English defence lawyer cannot disagree with the judge's ruling on the Law ?
