In the Bad Old Days in the money markets serious lunchtime boozing was the norm , no idea if it still persists there as I left thirty odd years ago.

On Thursday the nurse told me of French Senators filmed for TV snoozing in the Chamber, so almost certainly they are as bad as the brits

Went outside to do a very little hacking of small clumps of thick and deeply - rooted grass with a mattock.

Gave up further work after a successful few minutes, breathless ...

I'm tidying up some ramshackle constructions close to the cottage to take this winter's supply of firewood . Super wood but not as seasoned as it should be so now the first 40m2 batch of newly split logs is sunning on the terrace .
